Can you believe we’re just a few days away from the 2nd month of the 2nd semester? The school year is speeding along, but we’re going to slow down to share some very exciting information. This week, we’ll visit with Molly Plyler with our district’s department of innovation. She’s Director of STEM & Computer Science. She’s share details of a statewide Vex Robotics competition that JMCSS is hosting.
This week, we’ll visit with Ramonica Dorsey - Principal of JCM High School and Jacorey Garrett, a JCM student, who is aiming to improve the lives of people in our community through - service. He has a very special story that you’ll want to stick around and hear.
We’ll also hear from members of our transportation and safety teams as our bus drivers are logging more than 12,000 miles daily to get more than 9-thousand students to and from school safely.
This week, we are spotlighting our Mechatronics program at the Workforce Development Center. This is a great opportunity for students and families to hear how JMCSS is preparing students for careers in Mechanical engineering, electrical/electronics engineering, and computer engineering. We’ll be joined by Jeff Replogle, the Mechatronics Teacher at JCM-Early College High and Michael Patrick, an Early College High School freshman and a star pupil in the Mechatronics program.
