Wind Chill Advisories are in effect areawide through 10AM today for wind chills between 0°F and -14°F. There is a possibility for a wintry mix tomorrow including freezing rain. More bitter cold on the way this weekend.
Today, Wednesday 1/17:
- Early morning wind chills between 0° and -14°
- Afternoon high temperatures just below freezing
Tomorrow, Thursday 1/18:
- A low pressure system is expected to bring a wintry mix of rain, snow, and/or freezing rain
- Freezing rain should transition to mostly rain in the late afternoon
- A light glaze of ice will further worsen travel conditions
Friday – Sunday:
- Temperatures will plummet below freezing again on Friday
- This will re-freeze any slush/rain on the roads from Thursday, creating dangerous black ice
- More bitter cold and single digit to sub-zero wind chills
- Saturday and Sunday mornings look the coldest with wind chills between 0°F and -10°F
