In this episode of "Hub City Now" host Tyrone Tony Reed Jr. interviewed Rodney Clark, Sr., head coach and offensive coordinator of the Haywood Crusaders Athletics.
Clark spoke about why he founded the athletic program, what he hopes to achieve and how he wants to change lives for the better.
The Haywood Crusaders have an exclusive program for young men and women who are high school graduates with minimum college. They not only focus on athletics but also on the context of faith. We encourage the fulfillment of obtaining eligibility to continue their education. The program allows for the opportunity to compete against college football programs from JUCO to D2.
The organization's mission is to develop young men and women with active and creative minds, a sense of understanding and compassion for others, and the courage to act on their beliefs. It stresses the total development of each man: spiritual, moral, intellectual, social, emotional, and physical aspects.
