Jackson Police Captain Harris and Captain Gause presented former Jackson Police Officer Matthew Fullerton with a Lifesaving Medal, according to a Monday morning news release from the Jackson Police Department.
The release said Fullerton’s timely actions in rendering medical aid and comforting a victim, who appeared at the time to be suffering from mortal wounds, is a testament to his capabilities. Fullerton’s actions epitomize the best of police officer qualities of motivation, commitment, and selfless service. His exceptional efforts that day saved a life.
