Officers and investigators of the Jackson Police Department are investigating a shooting that occurred at the Old Hickory Mall, located at 2021 N. Highland Ave., in Jackson, Tenn.
Officers and investigators of the Jackson Police Department responded to the mall in reference to a subject that had been shotaround 3:55 p.m. July 12. Responding officers located a victim who sustained what appeared to be a non-life-threatening injury. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Jackson Police do not believe the incident was a random act of violence, but a targeted act of violence. The victim in this incident was also the same victim from a recent shooting on E. Forest. In the earlier shooting incident, the victim refused to talk with officers or investigators.
