Due to the severe weather forecasted for Thursday, March 25, Mayor Conger is opening the Civic Center as a severe weather shelter.

If a tornado watch is issued for Madison County, the Carl Perkins Civic Center and McKeller-Sipes Regional Airport will immediately open for citizens seeking shelter.

The Civic Center and airport will still adhere to COVID safety protocols and the City of Jackson will monitor the situation closely.
