Health Dept. Closed Wednesday, Feb. 17; COVID-19 Vaccine Appointments Moved to Feb. 22-26

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department will be closed Wednesday, Feb. 17 due to inclement weather, according to a Tuesday afternoon news release from the department. All Madison County convenience centers will also be closed Wednesday, Feb. 17 due to inclement weather.

REMINDER: All COVID-19 vaccine appointments scheduled for the week of Feb. 15-20 have been moved to Feb. 22-27 due to weather. Residents scheduled to come Feb. 16 will come Feb. 23. Residents scheduled to come Feb. 17 will come Feb. 24. Residents scheduled to come Feb. 18 will come Feb. 25. Residents scheduled to come Feb. 19 will come Feb. 26. Residents scheduled to come Feb. 20 will come Feb. 27. Keep your same appointment time. Please do not come early because parking is limited.

Residents with appointments scheduled for the week of Feb. 15-20 will automatically be scheduled for the week of Feb. 22-27. You do not need to call and make a new appointment.

People who cannot come on their new appointment date can call the COVID-19 Vaccine Appointment Line at 1-888-796-8894 to reschedule.

Madison County residents with appointments the week of Feb. 22-27 will keep their same appointment with no changes. Individuals with appointments will receive vaccines.

Appointments are issued in 30-minute increments. Residents can show up at the designated distribution location to receive their COVID-19 vaccine at any point during their allotted time.

Please bring a valid ID with proof of age and Madison County residency.

The health department is currently scheduling COVID-19 vaccine appointments for Madison County residents age 70 and older and individuals included in Phase 1a1 and Phase 1a2.

The COVID-19 vaccines are not currently available to the general public. We will notify the public when we receive more vaccines and move to the next phase of distribution.
