After careful consideration of various alternatives, The Jackson Symphony and Board of Directors have concluded that we have no viable option but to cancel the February 13, 2021 Pops Concert, Date Night at the Movies, according to a Wednesday morning news release. This cancellation is due to the closure of The Carl Perkins Civic Center through March 15, 2021. The Celebration of Soul concert on February 14, 2021, at Lane College will also be cancelled.
The Jackson Symphony appreciates the support of its patrons in West Tennessee, and we will be honoring all tickets purchased for the February concert. Ticket credit will be issued at the time of season renewals or ticket holders may contact The Jackson Symphony for immediate refunds.
The Jackson Symphony looks forward to the continuation of our 60th concert season with our Friday, April 9, 2021 concert, Hotel California: A Salute to the Eagles, at The Carl Perkins Civic Center. For our season finale, we look forward to Our Diamond Jubilee concert on Saturday, May 15, 2021, featuring pianist Fanya Lin and violinist Sirena Huang at First Baptist Church. Tickets are on sale now.
Until our next full concerts, we will continue to provide the healing comfort of music to the patients and frontline workers at the Kirkland Cancer Center. Please continue to follow The Jackson Symphony online at www.thejacksonsymphony.org or on Facebook at The Jackson Symphony in Jackson, TN for more information including the release of our 61st concert season.
