Health Department to Host Two COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics This Week

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department will distribute the second dose of COVID-19 vaccine Tuesday, Jan. 19 to people included in Phase 1a1, according to a Tuesday morning news release from the department. Individuals vaccinated at the health department on Dec. 21 or Dec. 22 must come to the health department before 6 p.m. Tuesday to receive their second dose of the vaccine.

The health department will distribute the second dose of COVID-19 vaccine Saturday, Jan. 23 for people included in Phase 1a2. Individuals vaccinated at the health department on Saturday, Jan. 2 must return to the health department between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 23 to receive their second dose of the vaccine.

Individuals should bring the vaccination card they received after getting their first dose of the vaccine. No appointment necessary on these dates.

The COVID-19 vaccines are not currently available to the general public. We will notify the public when we receive more vaccine and move to the next phase of distribution.
