
The Tennessee Department of Health reported 114 new COVID-19 deaths in Tennessee and over 7,580 new COVID-19 cases, according to Wednesday’s data from the department.
As of 2 p.m. Tuesday, there are 625,237 confirmed cases of COVID-19, which is 7,381 additional cases since Tuesday afternoon’s report. The death toll has risen by 114 additional deaths to 7,381.
There have been 548,838 recoveries or inactive cases. The department said it defines recoveries as people who have been confirmed to be asymptomatic by their local or regional health department and have completed their required isolation period or are at least 21 days beyond the first test confirming their illness.
A total of 3,332 people with COVID-19 are currently hospitalized, which is an increase of 71 hospitalizations.
A total of 5,716,342 tests have been taken, which is 9,631 more since Tuesday’s report.
