Health Department Confirms Two Additional COVID-19 Deaths, 6,506 Cases of COVID-19 in Madison County

 The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms two additional COVID-19 deaths, according to a Wednesday morning news release. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 117 in Madison County.

The newest deaths include:

  • 86-year-old male (died 12/8/2020)
  • 87-year-old male (died 11/29/2020)

The health department received positive test results for 138 more cases of COVID-19. There are now 6,506 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

The newest confirmed cases range from ages 1 to 89.

The department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

Twenty-four Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. Six of those patients are on a ventilator.

The department released the following demographic information about Madison County’s confirmed COVID-19 cases.
