Health Department Confirms Additional COVID-19 Death and 103 New Cases of COVID-19 in Madison County

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirmed a 64-year-old male died Nov. 24 due to complications from COVID-19, according to a Tuesday morning news release from the department. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 115 in Madison County.

The health department received positive test results for 103 more cases of COVID-19. There are now 6,368 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

The newest confirmed cases range from ages 1 to 89.

The department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

Twenty-seven Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. Five of those patients are on a ventilator.

The department also released the following demographic information about Madison County’s confirmed COVID-19 cases.
