A West Carroll Junior/Senior High School student has tested positive for COVID-19, according to a Tuesday afternoon phone alert message from the West Carroll Special School District Director of Schools Dexter Williams.
In the recorded message, Williams said the junior/senior high school was made aware Tuesday of a student who tested positive of the novel coronavirus.
“We have identified close contacts and they will begin the quarantine process,” Williams said. “Our school district follows the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the CDC, and the Tennessee Department of Health guidelines for the management of individuals who have been diagnosed with or exposed to COVID-19.”
Williams added, “We want to make sure we keep you informed as much as possible. We will provide updates should there be future situations. Thanks and have a great evening.”
