Health Department and UT/TSU Extension to Distribute Free Face Masks Next Week

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department along with representatives from the University of Tennessee/Tennessee State University Extension office will distribute free washable, reusable cloth face masks in Jackson, according to a Thursday afternoon news release from the department.

Masks will be available for pick-up at Greater St. Luke Baptist Church on Tuesday, July 28 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. while supplies last. The church is located at 117 Wallace Road in Jackson.

Masks will be available for pick-up at the Keep My Hood Good office on Thursday, July 30 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. while supplies last. The facility is located at 119 Riverside Drive in Jackson.

Masks will not be distributed at the Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department or at The WIC Center those days.

Tennessee Governor Bill Lee’s Unified Command Group (UCG) supplied a limited number of masks for Madison County residents. They will be distributed on a first come first serve basis.
