The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department received positive test results for 37 more confirmed cases of COVID-19, according to a Saturday morning news release from the department. There are now 635 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.
A 47-year-old male died this week due to complications from COVID-19.
The newest confirmed cases include:

- 25-year-old male (unknown hospitalization)
- 73-year-old female (not hospitalized)
- 30-year-old female (unknown hospitalization)
- 21-year-old female (unknown hospitalization)
- 19-year-old female (unknown hospitalization)
- 21-year-old male (unknown hospitalization)
- 18-year-old female (not hospitalized)
- 29-year-old male (not hospitalized)
- 21-year-old male (not hospitalized)
- 13-year-old female (not hospitalized)
- 6-year-old female (not hospitalized)

The department’s epidemiology staff are still trying to contact some of these individuals, so hospitalization status is unknown at this time. They are also reaching out to people who had close contact with these cases.
The release said 10 Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. Three of those patients are on a ventilator.
The release also said 416 Madison County residents have recovered from COVID-19 and 31 people say they are feeling better.
