236 Cases of COVID-19 in Madison County

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department received positive test results for 14 more confirmed cases of COVID-19, according to a Saturday morning news release. We now have 236 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

The newest confirmed cases include:

  • an 83-year-old female (not hospitalized)
  • a 32-year-old male (not hospitalized)
  • a 37-year-old female (hospitalization unknown)
  • a 40-year-old male (not hospitalized)
  • a 72-year-old female (not hospitalized)
  • a 19-year-old female (hospitalization unknown)
  • a 39-year-old female (not hospitalized)
  • a 69-year-old female (hospitalization unknown)
  • a 45-year-old male (not hospitalized)
  • a 29-year-old female (not hospitalized)
  • a 36-year-old female (not hospitalized)
  • a 48-year-old female (not hospitalized)
  • a 45-year-old male (not hospitalized)
  • a 31-year-old female (not hospitalized)

The department’s epidemiology staff are still trying to reach some of these individuals, so hospitalization status is unknown at this time. Staff are also reaching out to people who had close contact with these cases.

The release said four Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. One of those patients is on a ventilator.

There are 194 Madison County residents have recovered from COVID-19 and 11 people say they are feeling better.
