The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department received positive test results for 14 more confirmed cases of COVID-19, the department said in a news release Wednesday afternoon. Madison County now has a total of 125 confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus.
The release said 11 of the new cases were tested at the Jackson Fairgrounds on Sunday, April 19.
The most recent cases include:
- a 51-year-old female (not hospitalized)
- a 68-year-old female (not hospitalized)
- a 66-year-old female (not hospitalized)
- a 49-year-old male (not hospitalized)
- a 48-year-old male (not hospitalized)
- a 44-year-old female (not hospitalized)
- a 29-year-old male (not hospitalized)
- a 52-year-old female (not hospitalized)
- a 22-year-old male (not hospitalized)
- a 73-year-old male (not hospitalized)
- a 74-year-old male (not hospitalized)
- a 61-year-old female (not hospitalized)
- a 65-year-old male (not hospitalized)
- a 51-year-old male (hospitalization unknown)
The release said the epidemiology staff is trying to reach one of the patients, so hospitalization status is unknown at this time. The department’s staff is reaching out to people who had contact with the patients.
