Health Dept. Confirms 109 COVID-19 Cases in Madison County

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department received positive test results for seven more confirmed cases of COVID-19, the department said in a news release Tuesday afternoon. Madison County now has a total of 109 confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus.

The release said all seven of the new cases were tested at the Jackson Fairgrounds on Saturday, April 18.

The most recent cases include:

  • a 61-year-old male (not hospitalized)
  • a 74-year-old male (not hospitalized)
  • a 32-year-old male (not hospitalized)
  • a 36-year-old female (not hospitalized)
  • a 31-year-old female (not hospitalized)
  • a 59-year-old female (not hospitalized)
  • a 62-year-old female (not hospitalized)

The department is reaching out to people who had contact with this patient.
