Jane’s Addiction original lineup — vocalist Perry Farrell, guitarist Dave Navarro, drummer Stephen Perkins, and bassist Eric Avery — has returned to the studio for a new song, “Imminent Redemption”, marking their first new music together in 34 years.

The band debuted “Imminent Redemption” live earlier this year when their original lineup performed together in London for the first time since 2010. Their tour run began in Europe, and comes to North America in September. The band said in a press release: “It is different this time. To have everyone back together, releasing new music. It’s time. Welcome to the next chapter of Jane’s Addiction. ‘Imminent Redemption’ is only the beginning.”

Jane’s Addiction’s last album was The Great Escape Artist in 2011, but the new material marks the original lineup’s first since 1990’s Ritual de lo Habitual.  Navarro had been out of the group due to symptoms from long COVID and was replaced on the road in recent years by former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist/Pearl Jam multi-instrumentalist Josh Klinghoffer and Queens of the Stone Age’s Troy Van Leeuwen.
