Jackson Choral Society Kicks Off Rehearsals for Fall Concert

The Jackson Choral Society (JCS) is inviting singers to join their first rehearsal for the upcoming fall concert, “Seasons,” Monday, August 5, from 7 p.m.  to 9 p.m.

This initial session will take place at 1st United Methodist Church, located at 200 South Church Street, Jackson.

Under the direction of Zach Young and with accompanist Mitzi Mathenia, participants will have the opportunity to engage in the first reading of the concert music. Singer registration begins at 6:30 PM, followed by snacks and fellowship after the singing.

Regular rehearsals will be held in Clayton Hall every Monday evening from 7 to 9 p.m., except Monday, Sep. 2 (Labor Day), leading up to the concert week.

The Jackson Choral Society is a community choir welcoming members from diverse backgrounds, united by a shared love for choral music. There are no auditions required, and everyone is welcome to join.
