ACM Honors to celebrate Trisha Yearwood, Lainey Wilson, Luke Bryan at Ryman ceremony

The Academy of Country Music® has announced the list of honorees for the 17th Annual ACM Honors, taking place on Wednesday, August 21st, 2024, at the legendary Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee. Four-time ACM Award winner Carly Pearce is returning to host for the fourth straight year, alongside reigning ACM Song of the Year winner Jordan Davis.

Dubbed “Country Music Industry’s favorite night,” the 17th Annual ACM Honors will acknowledge Lainey Wilson, Alan Jackson, Luke Bryan and Trisha Yearwood as the recipients of the Special Awards being given out at the annual program. Others being honored with awards at the event include legendary producer Tony Brown; songwriter-musician Shannon Sanders, who now serves as BMI’s executive director, creative; and songwriter Walt Aldridge.

Two previously-announced country superstars will also be awarded songwriting honors during the ceremony: Chris Stapleton will receive the ACM artist-songwriter of the year award, while Jessie Jo Dillon will be awarded the songwriter of the year trophy.

Wilson will be receiving the Triple Crown Award (having won new female artist of the year, female artist of the year and, entertainer of the year at the ACMs).   She will also receive the ACM Milestone Award, given to someone who has an “unprecedented or outstanding achievement” in country during the previous year.

Tony Brown and Trisha Yearwood will be dual recipients of the Icon Award, with Shannon Sanders being honored with the ACM Lift Every Voice Award (given to someone who elevates underrepresented voices in country). The ACM LIfting Lives Award, also for philanthropy, is going to Luke Bryan for representing those who are “devoted to improving lives through the power of music”

Finally, Walt Aldridge and Alan Jackson will each receive the ACM Poet’s Award for their songwriting contributions over the years. Jackson is a member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame as well as Country Music Hall of Fame, while Aldridge has written or co-written 56 songs that charted in the top 40 of the Billboard country songs chart.
