Jackson Elks Lodge #192 recently hosted the Elk Olympics to raise funds for the West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Parkers Crossroads, TN. The event, held over four evenings, featured seven games and successfully raised an estimated $3,000.
Over 107 Elk members participated, competing for gold, silver, and bronze medals in events such as cornhole, eight-ball pool, and free throw shooting. The games began with an opening ceremony and concluded with a closing ceremony, both underscoring the community spirit and dedication to honoring veterans.
The Elk Olympics were held in memory of deceased Elk and Air Force veteran Suni Miani. The project was spearheaded by Alex Miani, who chaired the event.
“The enthusiasm and commitment from our members were truly inspiring,” said Alex Miani. “This event not only brought our community together but also supported a noble cause.”
The Elks, a community-focused fraternal organization located at 28 Executive Drive, Jackson, TN, continue to play an active role in supporting local causes and fostering community spirit. For more information, visit Elks.org or follow Jackson Elks Lodge #192 on Facebook.
