There could be numerous severe storms between late Thursday afternoon through Thursday evening, according to the National Weather Service in Memphis. Primary threats include damaging winds, with secondary threats being a few tornadoes and large hail.
Severe weather impacts across the Mid-South will range from Level 1: Marginal (limited in duration, coverageand intensity, in the southern area, to Level 3: Enhanced (more persistent and/or widespread, a few intense storms).
NWS said isolated storms are possible late Thursday afternoon, but more widespread storms are expected during the evening hours.
You should stay weather aware, have a plan to take shelter and have multiple ways to recieve warnings.
