City of Jackson Opens Severe Weather Shelter at Civic Center

The City of Jackson has opened the severe weather shelter at the Carl Perkins Civic Center after the National Weather Service in Memphis has issued a Tornado Watch for parts of West Tennessee, which includes the Jackson-Madison County area.

 Due to the severe weather forecasted for Wednesday, March 30, 2022, Mayor Scott Conger is opening the Carl Perkins Civic Center, located at 400 S. Highland Ave. in Jackson, TN, as a severe weather shelter. Please use the lower-level south entrance (across from Mother Liberty C.M.E. Church) to enter.
