Health Department Confirms Three Additional COVID-19 Deaths, 371 News Cases of COVID-19 in Madison County Since Tuesday, Aug. 24

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms three additional COVID-19 deaths, according to a Friday morning news release from the department. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 253 in Madison County. The newest deaths include:

  • 54-year-old male (died 8/22/21)
  • 74-year-old male (died 8/17/21)
  • 84-year-old female (died 8/17/21)

The health department has received positive test results for 371 more cases of COVID-19 since Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2021. There is now a cumulative total of 14,730 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

the department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

The department also released the following demographic information about Madison County’s confirmed COVID-19 cases.
