JPD: Aggravated Assault Suspect from Maryland in Custody

A suspect from Maryland wanted for first degree assault with a vehicle has been apphreneded and is in custody, according to a Sunday evening news release from the Jackson Police Department.

JPD officers assisted officers of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office and the Tennessee Highway Patrol in search of the suspect Sunday.

Tennessee Highway Patrol officers pursued a the suspect to exit #83 in Jackson.  According to dispatch, the suspect was a white male who was wanted for aggravated assault with a vehicle. The suspect, was seen wearing a green camo shirt and some type of helmet with a face mask, in a wooded area behind Old Medina Mart liquor store.

It was unknown if the suspect was armed.
