The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department received positive test results for 32 more cases of COVID-19, according to a Friday morning news release from the department. There is now a cumulative total of 11,276 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

Eighteen of these new cases reflect a data backlog from one local provider, the department said. Eight of the 32 new cases tested positive within the last three days.

The newest confirmed cases range from ages 19 to 72.

The department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

One Madison County resident is currently hospitalized. That patient is not on a ventilator.

The department also released the following demographic information about Madison County’s confirmed COVID-19 cases.
