After former Bad Boy Records artist Black Rob passed away over the weekend at the age of 52, fans lashed out at Bad Boy founder Diddy for not stepping in and helping the rapper sooner with his deteriorating health. However according to fellow Bad Boy alum Mark Curry, Diddy had already been in contact with Rob and wanted to offer his assistance.
Black Rob suffered a series of strokes in 2015 and was recently hospitalized for an unknown ailment. He was believed to be suffering from a rare kidney disease; however, his death is being attributed to cardiac arrest. Now sources say that Diddy will pay for Black Rob’s funeral: “Diddy offered help for Rob but in the end, sadly, it was too late. He wants to make sure Rob is laid to rest with dignity and according to his wishes. He is helping to make the funeral arrangements.” Diddy penned an Instagram tribute to Rob after his passing, writing, “Rest in power King @therealblackrob ! As I listen to your records today there’s one thing that they all have in common! You have made millions of people all over the world feel good and dance! You are one of a kind! GOD BLESS! Love. You will be truly missed!!!!”
