Health Department Confirms Five Additional COVID-19 Deaths, Cumulative Total of 11,051 Cases of COVID-19 in Madison County

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms five additional COVID-19 deaths, bringing the total to 225 in Madison County, according to a Thursday morning news release from the department. The newest deaths include:

  • 72-year-old male (died 10/14/2020)
  • 88-year-old female (died 12/12/2020)
  • 74-year-old male (died 2/6/2021)
  • 66-year-old female (died 2/17/2021)
  • 74-year-old male (died 2/27/2021)

The health department received positive test results for five more cases of COVID-19.  There is now a cumulative total of 11,051 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

The newest confirmed cases range from ages 15 to 48.

The department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

Five Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. One of those patients is on a ventilator.
