The Jackson Police Department need assistance identifying a suspect from a shooting in Northeast Jackson around 2 p.m. Monday, according to a news release from the department. Officers responded to a shooting at a residence on Ivy Hill Drive.
An elderly man was shot during an attempted robbery. The victim was transported to JMCGH and later airlifted to a hospital in Nashville to be treated. The victim’s injuries are life-threatening at this time.
The suspect is described as a black male, 5 feet, 10 inches, late 30’s to 40s, last seen driving a burgundy 2000-2005 Chevy Impala.
