Paris, Tenn.–It’s certainly been a long wait, but you’ll only have to wait a few more weeks for the return of the annual World’s Biggest Fish Fry in Paris. The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic caused cancellation last year but it won’t keep this year’s annual event from returning for 2021.

The decision to go ahead with plans for this year’s event was made in a Wednesday night meeting of the Paris-Henry County Jaycees.

The 2021 Fish Fry will be held as usual during the last full week of April on the 17-24 at the Henry County Fairgrounds.

Paris-Henry County Chamber CEO Travis McLeese said, “We applaud the Jaycee’s for the number of hours they put into planning and carrying out the World’s Biggest Fish Fry.  It is an economic driver for our community and a huge part of our communities tradition.”

Since last year’s Hostess Princess Court did not have the opportunity to preside over the event last year, they will serve as the 2021 Court, as well.

A Demolition Derby will be held on Saturday night April 17 kicking off this year’s festivities. The Carnival will be in place and a Championship Bull Riding and Barrell Racing event will be held for all to enjoy.

Mouth watering catfish with all the trimmings will be served once again to meet the standards of the best of culinary judges, the general public, who have waited for over a year to feast again.
