Health Department Confirms Additional COVID-19 Death, 10,789 Cumulative Cases in Madison County

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms a 69-year-old male died Feb. 16 due to complications from COVID-19, according to a Tuesday morning news release from the department. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 182 in Madison County.

The health department received positive test results for 7 more cases of COVID-19. There are now 10,789 cumulative confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

The newest confirmed cases range from ages 2 to 60.

The department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

Four Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. One of those patients is on a ventilator.
