There is an urgent need for blood, according to a Friday morning news release from Caitlin Roach, marketing manager with LIFELINE Blood Services.
“We are very concerned about the upcoming weather forecast at LIFELINE,” Roach said. “We already suffered a loss in turnout at our theme drive yesterday because of the ice… Forecasters are predicting a potential winter storm for our area Monday of next week. If this happens, travel will be very difficult. The blood supply is already dangerously low. We need help! We are asking that you please donate blood this weekend at our centers in Jackson and Dyersburg. We must work together for the patients in our area!”
