The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department will close convenience centers in Madison County one hour early Saturday, Feb. 13 and Sunday, Feb. 14 due to forecasted winter weather, the department said in a Friday afternoon news release. All convenience centers will close at 5 p.m. this weekend.
“We’re closing early for the safety of our attendants,” Environmental Health Program Director Candy Overstreet said.
Regular hours resume Monday, Feb. 15.

Services include the operation of solid waste convenience centers and disposal sites located throughout Madison County. We collect cardboard at all sites but Mercer, Mount Pinson, HO Forgy and Medon.
