Health Department Confirms Two Additional COVID-19 Deaths, Cumulative Total of 10,747 Cases in Madison County

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms two additional COVID-19 deaths, according to a Friday morning news release from the department. This brings the total to 181 in Madison County. The newest deaths include:

  • 70-year-old female (died 1/23/2021)
  • 93-year-old male (died 1/30/2021)

The health department received positive test results for 11 more cases of COVID-19. There is now a cumulative total of 10,747 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

The newest confirmed cases range from ages 3 to 77.

The department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

Seven Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. Three of those patients are on a ventilator.

The department also released the following demographic information about Madison County’s confirmed COVID-19 cases.
