Health Department Confirms Two Additional COVID-19 Deaths, 32 New Cases in Madison County

 The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms two additional COVID-19 related deaths, bringing the total number to 165 in Madison County, according to a Thursday morning news release from the department. The newest deaths include:

  • 71-year-old female (died 1/7/2021)
  • 79-year-old male (died 1/27/2021)

The health department received positive test results for 32 more cases of COVID-19. We now have 10,367 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

The newest confirmed cases range from ages 3 months to 81.

The department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

Twelve Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. One of those patients is on a ventilator.

The department also released the following demographic information about Madison County’s confirmed COVID-19 cases.
