Health Department Confirms 10,006 Cases of COVID-19 in Madison County

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department received positive test results for 21 more cases of COVID-19, according to a Tuesday morning news release from the department. There are now 10,006 cumulative confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

The newest confirmed cases range from ages 1 to 66.

The department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to these individuals and people who had close contact with these cases.

Twenty-one Madison County residents are currently hospitalized. Four of those patients are on a ventilator.

The department released the following demographic information about Madison County’s confirmed COVID-19 cases.
