The Tennessee Department of Health reported 69 new COVID-19 deaths in Tennessee and over 6,010 new COVID-19 cases, according to Thursday’s data from the department.
As of 2 p.m. Wednesday, there are 428,973 confirmed cases of COVID-19, which is 6,011 additional cases since Wednesday afternoon’s report. The death toll has risen by 69 additional deaths to 5,240.
There have been 382,444 recoveries or inactive cases. The department said it defines recoveries as people who have been confirmed to be asymptomatic by their local or regional health department and have completed their required isolation period or are at least 21 days beyond the first test confirming their illness.
A total of 2,558 people with COVID-19 are currently hospitalized, which is an decrease of 45 hospitalizations.
A total of 4,804,074 tests have been taken, which is 30,850 more since Wednesday’s report.
