The Tennessee Department of Health reported 100 new COVID-19 deaths in Tennessee and over 6,000 new COVID-19 cases, according to Tuesday’s data from the department.
As of 2 p.m. Tuesday, there are 414,749 confirmed cases of COVID-19, which is 6,019 additional cases since Monday afternoon’s report. The death toll has risen by 100 additional deaths to 5,109.
There have been 371,163 recoveries or inactive cases. The department said it defines recoveries as people who have been confirmed to be asymptomatic by their local or regional health department and have completed their required isolation period or are at least 21 days beyond the first test confirming their illness.
A total of 2,566 people with COVID-19 are currently hospitalized, which is an increase of 3 hospitalizations.
A total of 4,729,118 tests have been taken, which is 30,659 more since Monday’s report.
