
There are over 3,160 new cases of the novel coronavirus in Tennessee, according to Monday’s data from the Tennessee Department of Health.
As of 2 p.m. Monday, there are 264,586 confirmed cases of COVID-19, which is 3,161 additional cases since Sunday afternoon’s report. The death toll has risen by 26 additional deaths to 3,379.
There have been 234,460 recoveries or inactive cases. The department said it defines recoveries as people who have been confirmed to be asymptomatic by their local or regional health department and have completed their required isolation period or are at least 21 days beyond the first test confirming their illness.
A total of 1,434 people with COVID-19 are currently hospitalized, which is an increase of 17 hospitalizations.
A total of 3,705,426 tests have been taken, which is 37,116 more since Monday’s report.
