The Gamma Alpha Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. presented Lane College with a $50,000 financial gift Monday, Sept. 21, also known as AKA HBCU Impact Day.
Lane College President Logan Hampton was joined by Mrs. Machelle Banks, president of the Gamma Alpha Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. on AKA HBCU Impact Day, according to a Tuesday afternoon Facebook post. The Educational Advancement Foundation of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated presented Lane College with a financial gift of $50,000.
The contribution is to establish an endowed fund at Lane College.
