The National Weather Service in Memphis has issued a wind advisory for much of the Mid-South through Friday afternoon. Strong winds associated with tropical system Laura will affect east Arkansas, the Missouri boot heel, most of West Tennessee and northwest Mississippi through Friday afternoon.
Winds will be sustained 20 to 25 mph with gusts to 35 mph. Loose objects may become airborne. Driving may become difficult in areas of strong crosswinds.
