Jackson Police Chief Julian Wiser promoted three Jackson Police Department officers, according to a Friday news release.
Wiser promoted Lieutenant Justin Harris to the rank of Captain in the Patrol Division/South Precinct Commander. Harris has 19 years of service with the JPD.
Sergeant Dewayne Mathis was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in the Special Operations Division. Mathis has 24 years of service with JPD.
Captain Derick Tisdale was promoted to the rank of Deputy Chief of Police Patrol Operations. Tisdale has 25 years of service with the JPD.
