The Jackson Madison County Emergency Management Agency announced Friday it will be begin testing the Outdoor Warning Sirens every Saturday at noon beginning August 15, according to a Friday news release from the agency EMA director Jason Moore.

This will be a permanent change and the agency will no longer test the sirens on the first or third Wednesdays at noon.

The agency  said in the release, “It is important for the system to be regularly tested and and we feel a live test every Saturday will better serve the residents of Madison County.”

The agency asks residents that beginning Saturday, August 15 at noon, if the sirens near you does not sound or spin, please call its office at (731) 427-1271 or email ema@madisoncountytn.gov.
