In a Month, There Have Been Over 500 Reported Cases of COVID-19 in Madison County, according to Health Dept. Numbers

There have been over 500 reported cases of the novel coronavirus in a month, according to reported numbers from the Jackson Madison County Health Department. Cases have gone from a cumulative 208 reported COVID-19 cases June 23 to a cumulative 761 reported COVID-19 cases July 23, with eight additional COVID-19 deaths.

The department reported a cumulative total of 208 COVID-19 cases June 23, with three new cases that day, a 9-month-old female, 9-year-old female and a 24-year-old female, with none of them hospitalized. One Madison County resident was hospitalized and on a ventilator.  One hundred eighty-seven Madison County residents had recovered from COVID-19 and six people said they were feeling better.

But, a month later, July 23, the health department reported a cumulative total of 761 COVID-19 cases, 553 cases reported from June 23 through July 23. Also in that time, there were 8 additional COVID-19 deaths reported from July 10 through July 19, bringing the total of COVID-19 deaths to 10.

The department reported a cumulative total of 761 COVID-19 cases June 23, with 19 new cases which include a 2 month-old female, 4-year-old female and a 6-year-old male. Twelve Madison County resident were hospitalized and one of those patients was on a ventilator.  Five hundred and eleven Madison County residents had recovered from COVID-19 and 32 people said they were feeling better.
