There are over 3,310 new cases of the novel coronavirus in Tennessee, according to Monday’s data from the Tennessee Department of Health.
As of 2 p.m. Monday, there are 65,274 confirmed cases of COVID-19, which is 3,314 additional cases since Sunday afternoon’s report. The death toll has risen to 749.
There have been 36,996 recoveries, 1,141 more since Sunday. The department said it defines recoveries as people who have been confirmed to be asymptomatic by their local or regional health department and have completed their required isolation period or are at least 21 days beyond the first test confirming their illness.
A total of 3,284 people with COVID-19 have been hospitalized, but the department noted that while the number indicates the number of patients that were ever hospitalized during their illness, it does not indicate the number of patients currently hospitalized.
A total of 1,053,424 tests have been taken, which is 35,926 more since Sunday’s report.
