A 19-year-old female has been arrested and charged in the stabbing death of a 60-year-old man, according to a Friday afternoon news release from the Jackson Police Department.
The release said around 9:30 p.m. Friday, June 12, JPD officers responded to a report of a man bleeding on the ground in the area of John Williams Road near East Chester Street. Officers found Kenneth Brasher, a 60-year-old white male, had been stabbed. Brasher was was transported by EMS to the Jackson Madison County General Hospital where he later died from his injuries.
The release said Tayana Williams, 19, has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in perpetration of especially aggravated robbery and especially aggravated robbery.
This is still an ongoing investigation, the release said.
