The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department will distribute free washable, reusable cloth face masks again Thursday, May 21 according to the department’s director Kim Tedford.

Madison County residents can pick up a mask at the Jackson Fairgrounds, located at 800 S. Highland Ave. Masks are  will be available for  pick-up between 8:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. while supplies last. The department will not distribute masks at The WIC Center.

Madison County residents will be limited to one mask per person. If you have already received a free mask, you are asked to not come back for additional masks. The department says it has about 9,700 free masks.

The location for pickup was changed due to traffic and safety issues on North Parkway at the department’s office.

Tennessee Governor Bill Lee’s Unified Command Group (UCG) supplied a limited number of masks for Madison County residents. They will be distributed on a first come first serve basis.

Please call the health department at 731-423-3020 if you have questions.
