There are over 360 new cases of the novel coronavirus in Tennessee, according to Tuesday’s data from the Tennessee Department of Health.
As of 2 p.m. Tuesday, there are 18,378 confirmed cases of COVID-19, which is 367 additional cases since Monday afternoon’s report. The death toll has risen to 305.
There have been 10,969 recoveries, 1,083 more since Monday. The department said it defines recoveries as people who have been confirmed to be asymptomatic by their local or regional health department and have completed their required isolation period or are at least 21 days beyond the first test confirming their illness.
A total of 1,498 people with COVID-19 have been hospitalized, but the department noted that while the number indicates the number of patients that were ever hospitalized during their illness, it does not indicate the number of patients currently hospitalized.
A total of 346,123 tests have been taken, which is 8,695 more since Monday’s report.
