The total of confirmed cases of novel coronavirus was at 151 Wednesday morning, according to Kim Tedford, executive director of the Jackson Madison County Regional Health Department.
The most recent case is a 15-year-old female, according to a news release from the department. The department is still trying to contact this person, so hospitalization status is unknown at this time. The staff is also reaching out to people who had contact with this patient.
Tedford said six Madison County residents are currently hospitalized with COVID-19, with two of those patients currently on ventilators.
Tedford said 107 patients have recovered and 14 patients are getting better.
The department has also received an allocation of masks for the community that are reusable and washable and can be picked up at the department located at 804 N. Parkway or the WIC Center.
